Kuyumcukent is the world's largest gold and jewelry production and trade center. Initiated in the 1990s as a civil society project under a cooperative model, it was supported by the then Mayor of Istanbul, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Entirely funded by local private capital, the project aimed to establish Istanbul’s largest center for gold, silver, and precious stones. Officially opened in 2006 with the participation of Prime Minister Erdoğan, Kuyumcukent now hosts over 2,500 businesses within its integrated complex—comprising factories, workshops, shopping centers, and plazas. It brings together modern infrastructure, advanced technology, and an environmentally conscious approach to overcome the industry's production and trade challenges.
Kuyumcukent İşletme A.Ş. (KİAŞ) is responsible for the operation and management of the facility, providing not only purification, technical, and security services, but also cleaning, landscaping, health and safety, training, and advertising services.
Guided by the principle “Kuyumcukent’s future is the country’s future,” KİAŞ embraces transparent and modern management values. Focused on customer satisfaction, it operates in line with international quality and environmental standards, making it an indispensable part of Kuyumcukent.
